Tickled HOT Pink will be hosting its second annual fundraising event on September 20th, 2013, to kick off October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our 2012 fundraiser sold out two weeks in advance, and we reached maximum capacity with 600 attendees! This year’s event promises to be an even hotter pink evening of dancing, networking and fundraising to help raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the United States.
Proceeds raised by the Tickled HOT Pink event this year will be donated to the Dubin Breast Center in New York City. The Dubin Breast Center of The Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai represents a bold new vision for breast care and research - one that is patient-centered and integrative, focusing on the physical and the healing of people with or at risk for breast cancer. The range of multidisciplinary services available through the Dubin Breast Center, from prevention to post-treatment, is housed in one centralized location. Dubin Breast Center patients thus experience the best of both worlds: excellent medical care from top professionals in a state-of-the-art setting. Tickled HOT Pink admires the Dubin Breast Center's mission and is thrilled to support its cause.

When & Where
Tickled HOT Pink
Tickled HOT Pink is the brainchild of sisters Danielle and Niki Dankner who witnessed the importance of early detection when their mother Iris was diagnosed with breast cancer at an early age. Thanks to early detection, proper treatment, and compassionate care, Iris is now a 19-year breast cancer survivor and counting. Early detection saves lives; thus, Tickled HOT Pink is committed to bringing awareness and practice of mammography and preventative screening through education and support.
Prior to raising money for Planed Parenthood, Danielle and Niki had a long association with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, playing a leadership role in the NYC affiliate and raising close to $1,000,000 over the years from their Tickled Pink! Teens for the Cure events. At the time of Komen’s pro-life motivated decision to pull funding from Planned Parenthood in early 2012, theTickled HOT Pink committee made a decision to sever ties with the organization. The next beneficiary of Tickled HOT Pink’s 2012 and 2013 events was the Dubin Breast Center at Mount Sinai, who received $150,000 from the annual fundraisers. Given Danielle and Niki’s ongoing interest in supporting organizations aligned with their mission, they decided that Planned Parenthood was the most deserved recipient of their efforts and resources this year.
