Description

"Vipassanā" means "seeing clearly" - developing a direct perception of the true nature of the mind. In Vajrayāna Buddhism there are numerous meditation methods for developing this form of liberating insight, referred to as Mahāmudra. On this occasion Ven. Losang Drimay, a Buddhist nun for over 25 years, will lead us through a practice of Mahāmudra meditation and explain its principles and applications.

All levels of practitioners are welcome.

ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Venerable Losang Drimay was born in California in 1960. She has a B.A. in Asian Studies and has traveled extensively in Asia. She has been studying and practicing at Dharma centers since 1984, and in 1991 received ordination in the FPMT lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. From 2001 to 2012, she served as resident teacher of Ocean of Compassion Buddhist Center in California. Since then she has served full-time as a resident teacher at Land of Medicine Buddha.
