Born in Mexico, Melissa is a New York City based tap dancer, performer, educator, producer and overall creator. Being her country’s leading tap dancer, Melissa has performed as a soloist all around Mexico. She has taught workshops worldwide and she produced two of the first tap shows in Latin America featuring the best tap artists in Mexico as well as international dancers.

The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL), founded in 1972, is a multidisciplinary arts center based in the diverse community of Southeast Queens.
