Participants aged 8 to 70+

Four, 1-hour ground-work lessons (indoor heated arena, non-riding)

Includes: ground work based lessons about how to handle, understand and care for horses!

Price: $216+ GST for 4 lessons.

Through the Eye of the Horse - Spring Session Part 1 includes four weekly ground work lessons

Start Dates:

Tuesdays starting April 2nd from 5pm to 6pm

Saturdays starting April 8th from 12pm to 1pm

What to expect?

This program is unique and can benefit anyone (even those with riding experience). You can experience all the health and wellness benefits from horses without having to get in the saddle! Whether you are nervous about horses, had a previous bad experience or just want to figure out what all the fuss is about with horses, this is a great program to try out!

The program is ground work based so that participants can develop confidence, knowledge and skills without having to start-off with riding. Participants are able to meet and connect with horses while developing the essential horsemanship skills necessary for caring for and riding horses successfully in the future. The classes start off with grooming and basic groundwork, which develop into fun games and challenges for the participants to compete in with their horse partner.

You can expect to:

- learn how to catch, halter and lead a horse from outside

- learn how to safely enter a stall with a horse

- learn how to groom a horse

- learn the basics of horse behavior and how horses can "speak" to us

- learn the basics of barn etiquette and stable management

- lead your horse through various obstacles

- meet a few of our beautiful lesson horses!

- build confidence in working with horses and understanding them
