Event description

Description

Through Darcelle’s Eyes will introduce audiences to the life and journey of a legendary performer who braved discrimination and never backed down. Our 360º VR documentary will showcase interviews with Darcelle, performance footage, and creatively staged animations of Portland's past. Our hope for this film is simple: preserve and honor the history of one of America's most cherished performers, the one and only Darcelle XV.

Please be sure to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to your show time. We will have 30 headsets per viewing every 30 minutes.

Parking is available in a lot on the corner of NW 3rd and Everett along with street parking. Darcelle's venue is also very accessible from all Max lines and major bus routes into Downtown.

It is possible that we may have tickets available at the door for any non-sold out viewings. Ticket holders get priority to see the film.

15% of all ticket sales will be dontated to Camp KC - a free summer camp organized by Cascade Aids Project for children affected and living with HIV.

Presented By: Pride NW

Executive Producer: Amilux Film

Supported By: Local Queen, University of Oregon - School of Journalism and Communication, and NW Documentary
