Join us for a screening of Through Chinatown's Eyes: April 1968, a documentary produced by Penny Lee with Lisa Mao that discusses the protests and riots that occurred in DC's Chinatown in the wake of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. An exploration of ideas of racial identity and relationships, this documentary also shows how the violence of 1968 shaped Chinatown's neighborhood and commercial development.
