Description: The main objective of this class is to help participants practice feeling safe and comfortable in their bodies, to learn skills to regulate difficult emotions, and to direct attention away from constant worry or negative thought loops by noticing sensations as they occur in the body in the present moment.
All genders Group Classes: Next 6 week series starts on March 7th and goes through April 11th. Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 PM. ($150 for a 6 week series pass)
Where: 3730 Kirby Dr., Floor 2, suite 220 (Conference Room)
What to expect:
* A physical yoga class appropriate for every age, sexual orientation, gender identity, body shape and physical ability. THERE IS NO VERBAL PROCESSING OR VERBAL THERAPY AS PART OF THE CLASS.
*Class starts promptly, door will be closed 5 minutes after class begins to minimize disruptions
*No animals or children allowed
* A class where the main focus is on experiencing bodily sensations rather than achieving a pose
* NO hands-on physical assists and a non-competitive healing environment
* Simple physical movements that emphasize your capacity to make choices on what to do with your body based on how you feel
*Wear any comfortable clothes you can move in, no specific yoga clothes required
*Yoga can be done on a chair or mat. I will have some mats to lend, but bring your own if you prefer
