Southland Credit Union presents THRIVE Teen Expo at the Los Alamitos Community Center. THRIVE is a personal development conference for teens in middle school and high school focusing on special interest topics including:
- Life After High School
- Building Self-Confidence
- Safety
- Fitness
- Mental Health
- Photography/Graphic Design
- Painting
- Self-Care
- Public Speaking
- Healthy Relationships
- Communication Skills
- Goal Setting
- Career Exploration
- Adulting 101
- Finances
- Life Skills
- Car Maintenance
- First Aid
- Conflict Resolution
- Stress Management
The cost is $5 per student for the first 200 registered through Southland Credit Union's sponsorship with scholarships available if needed. The cost goes up to $50/ticket after 200 registered. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Pre-registration is required. The event is in collaboration with Southland Credit Union, the City of Los Alamitos, Casa Youth Shelter, Los Alamitos Education Foundation (LAEF), Summer Harvest, The Youth Center, and BSCC California.
