Event Details

Thrips populations are at their peak in the spring. They damage both foliage and flowers of many ornamental plants. We will provide this workshop to answer some of the following questions:

How does a thrip look like in a plant? When should I be looking for thrips in my plants? What insecticides are recommended for thrip control?

If you want to learn about these and more questions, you are invited to attend our  Thrips in Ornamentals Crops workshop, where we will cover this insect's identification and symptoms on plants and their control

We set limited spaces for a better learning experience on ID/Management and hands-on exercises.

Please note that walk-in registrations are highly discouraged due to space/personnel limitations. (we will do it over our UF/IFAS Tropical Research and Education Center. Walk-ins are not guaranteed admission to the session. An additional class may be added based on need (waiting list). For questions, contact UF/IFAS Extension agent: Vanessa Campoverde (evcampoverde@ufl.edu)
