- Alysha Cassis-Shaw, Neutral Ground - Owner and curator of Neutral Ground, she has worked in the fashion industry for nearly 20 years. She studied fashion design at NY’s Fashion Institute of Technology and received her first major break when she was hired to work for the legendary American house of Halston. Here her interest in vintage grew after spending hours researching the company’s archives to develop the collection. In 2014 she and her husband left NY for the bay area and she embarked on a new and exciting chapter in her fashion career. Realizing that the majority of her time had been spent creating new things based on the past, she felt compelled to bring light to the original inspiration- vintage. From a sincere belief that fashion should be a unique and individual expression of one’s self and that well made, quality items can be accessible and non exploitative, Neutral Ground was born.
