Event description

Description

Explore Jefferson’s passions, and find yours. Thomas Jefferson left his mark on the arts, architecture, education, and especially on the wines of Central Virginia. Inspired by his contribution to the growth of the modern American wine industry, the Jefferson Heritage Trail honors his legacy while creating an exciting journey for all who visit.

"Passions: The Wines and Travels of Thomas Jefferson" award-winning author, James Gabler will lead a discussion of his book about Jefferson, the first wine connoisseur. He will also have books available for sale and for signing at the event.

"That experience only increases my awe of the rich historical tapestry assembled by Gabler in this superbly crafted book. Any wine lover with the faintest glimmer of interest in history should read it." -- Wine Spectator 12/11/95

The evening of the event at Boars Head will include a 3 course wine dinner (see menu below), with artisan cheese and wine hour preceding dinner. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED TO GET YOUR PREFERRED MAIN COURSE SELECTION.
