Event description

Description

Oakland is changing fast, and young people are standing up to share their experiences of home when it matters the most. It’s important we hear them and amplify their stories, especially when their voices — and the voices of those most impacted by gentrification — all too often get lost in the noise.

Join Youth Radio, along with NPR’s Sonari Glinton and Shereen Merisol Meraji, for a meaningful and constructive conversation with young people, community, business, and city leaders about gentrification in Oakland.

When: Thursday, December 7, 2017 | 5:30-7:30pm
Where: Youth Radio's Arts Venue, 1719 Broadway, Oakland, CA
Who: Sonari Glinton, NPR Business Desk Correspondent
Shereen Merisol Meraji, host of NPR’s Codeswitch podcast
