Event description

Description

Oil tanker attacks. Invasions and civil wars. Daily headlines from the Middle East paint a picture of instability, while Middle East oil is being quickly replaced by American shale. The President has made it clear he wants out...but is it that simple? Join the Center for Presidential History for a special paneled discussion in the Third Rail Series, as we explore the current state of the region, and address the key question: is the Middle East still a vital area for the United States?

Join SMU scholars Ambassador Robert Jordan, Bruce Bullock and Gregory Brew for an open public discussion on a sensitive topic that we are facing today.

Light coffee service will precede the event beginning at 6:30 pm, with the discussion starting at 7:00 pm.

Parking will be available on the SMU campus. FREE passes will be emailed to registered guests before the event. Seating is limited, and NOT guaranteed.
