Part I: An Overview of Cooperative Horse Care

Cooperative Care is an "outside the box” approach to training that emphasizes low-stress handling and evidence-based techniques.

Megan Phillips & Jody Ambrose of Train with Trust have been working with horses and other animals for over 25 years, using methods that bring true innovation to domestic equine management.

This introductory talk includes an informative presentation, live demonstrations, beverages & snacks.

AntFarm Café & Bakery, 39140 Proctor Blvd

Purchase tickets for Friday event only at: https://trainwithtrust/events

Part II: Free the Stabled Mind

Given a choice, would horses stand around in the same spot all day, waiting for someone to deliver food? Of course not! Horses, mules and donkeys are meant to roam and forage, expressing themselves through their natural behavior and socialization. Domestic animals that live alone, in stalls, seldom have opportunities to truly be themselves.

Let us show you how simple it can be to enrich your equine partners' lives by providing opportunities to perform natural behavior. Learn techniques used around the world to bring out the essential nature and watch your horses thrive.

Part III: Cooperation without Sedation

Have you ever wanted to give up after a few rounds of trying to worm your horse? Do you suspect your farrier is starting to avoid your calls? We know routine husbandry care is beneficial and necessary, but our horses have no idea what's in it for them. This can result in a struggle that leaves everyone tired, frustrated and anxious. Is there another way?

All horses possess the intelligence and sensitivity needed to participate voluntarily in their own care. When we communicate our expectations clearly and make it worth their while, our horses can become our willing partners.
