Ambassador Princeton Lyman
Global Leadership Awards
ThinkImpact hosts a gala each year to celebrate the achievements of outstanding individuals who are working to impact the global community through innovative approaches that reach the Global South.
The evening is a tribute to the incredible contributions individuals have made in the tradition of humility and leadership exhibited by Ambassador Princeton Lyman while he represented the United States in South Africa during the country’s transition to democracy. Facilitating the conversation between Nelson Mandela and FW de Klerk, Ambassador Lyman helped to successfully usher in a new era for South Africa, while exemplifying the facilitative role that the United States can play in solving global issues.
Past awardees are bridging the knowledge gap between non-profit experts in the developing world and the United States, building networks with thousands of young professionals working towards a more effective foreign policy, developing African job portals, working on remote TB treatment technologies, and advancing institutional change on university campuses nationwide to promote social enterprise.
The award will be presented by Secretary Ann Veneman, member of ThinkImpact’s Board of Trustees and Ambassador Princeton Lyman, member of ThinkImpact’s Board of Advisors.
