Description
GrassROOTS Community Foundation hosts, Think F.AS.T: Girls Succeeding in Finance, Arts, Science and Technology, Saturday, January 28th, 10:00am – 3:00pm at Central High School in Newark, NJ.
This convening brings together high school girls and their caregivers to identify, meet and learn from high-level leaders in Finance, Arts, Science and Technology.
Girls are hyper exposed to professions in the service industry. Research tells us that Black women of color are three times more likely to work in administrative positions and are overrepresented in lower-paying occupations. Less than 15 percent of women are employed in management, business, and financial operations occupations. In addition, we know the new global marketplace demands innovation and leadership.
This conference will have panel discussions from women leaders who have demonstrated innovation, entrepreneurship, ingenuity and leadership in the industries of F.A.S.T
