Think Again: Soil
Event Information
About this event
We will be focusing on essential regenerative practices, Indigenous knowledge, and a human's role in communion with the Earth. This is an opportunity to dive deeper into these concepts to repair our soil and ourselves, as an act of love for humanity.
Local poet laureate and performer, CJ Suitt, will lead us through speakers on soil science, composting, soil conservancy, Tall Grass Food Box panel discussion on Black farmers and farming legacies. We will have outdoor workshops with clay making pinch pots and printing locally produced t-shirts with plants. There will also be an on-site farm tour, art exhibition and a soil-themed fashion show, along with vendors sprinkled about the venue providing soil-related offerings, opportunities and information.
The workshops require add-on tickets for materials. The fashion show add-on ticket will get you an exclusive front row runway seat. You are more than welcome to watch and enjoy the workshops and fashion show, without the add-ons you will not get materials for workshop or seat for fashion show. All of these extra costs help us put on an incredible, sustainable event!
