Reds from Southern Italy are incredibly varied and mostly underknown - while many people are familiar with Nero d'Avola and Primitivo, there's a panoply of other great grapes out there, and for this virtual tasting we'll explore three of them - a lovely Frappato, a great Nerello Mascalese from one of Sicily's best producers, and a classically structured and grippy Aglianico. To participate:

2) Purchase 1, 2, or all 3 of the wines (special pricing on the set) by giving us a call at 414.277.7707; you don't have to purchase any wine to participate in the tasting, but it's a lot more fun to taste as you learn!* The wines will be:

• Corvo 2018 "Irmana" Frappato, Sicily Italy ($16.95)
• Tenuta delle Terre Nere 2019 Nerello Mascalese, Etna Italy ($24.95)
• Paternoster 2016 "Synthesi" Aglianico del Vulture, Basilicata Italy ($18.95)
• Purchase individually or save on a set - only $55 + tax for all three!

3) You'll receive a Zoom link when you register, and also in a reminder email. (If for whatever reason you don't receive it, email info@thiefwine.com by 7 p.m. on Saturday.)

4) The tasting itself will last about 45 minutes; we'll open up the wines and discuss the varietals and regions; you can open up one, two, or three and taste along with us and ask questions. Super fun! (If you can't make it at that time, we'll be recording it as well so you can watch later!)
