Event description

Description

This course is for International PGRs in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and will be delivered by experienced tutors of Academic English from Birmingham International Academy (BIA). The course consists of 5 individual sessions that will take you through the main stages of thesis writing: Structure & introductions, Literature Review, Methods, Results & Discussion, Conclusion & Abstract. The course is accompanied by resources for further self-access work on Canvas.
The Results and Discussion sections of an Arts & Social Sciences Thesis are arguably the two most important parts of the Thesis, as this is where the reader will expect to see a prevalence of the writer's voice through the form of analysis, critique and evaluation. In this session you will also learn a little about the language of claims and recommendations.
