This course is for International PGRs in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and will be delivered by experienced tutors of Academic English from Birmingham International Academy (BIA). The course consists of 5 individual sessions that will take you through the main stages of thesis writing: Structure & introductions, Literature Review, Methods, Results & Discussion, Conclusion & Abstract. The course is accompanied by resources for further self-access work on Canvas.
This session (Literature Review) will help you to develop an understanding of what a Literature Review is, and how to show your reader that you have read and understood published work surrounding a particular topic.
