Award winning singer, producer and music historian Rhonda Benin conducts an interactive workshop that explores the lyrics of 7 popular “message songs” written by Black American singer/songwriters and investigates the relationship between popular music and the issues of the times.

Her interactive workshop includes the music of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Sly and The Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff & Bill Withers.
