Therapist Hour - Speaking About Suicide, Part 1
In our next Therapist Hour, Kristin Osborn presents on how to assess and respond to someone feeling suicidal during a period of time when most health care professionals and institutions are overwhelmed and resources are limited. She’ll share her own recent experiences as a clinician and how Malan’s Two Triangles helped her understand the gravity of a situation so she could respond in a manner that promoted growth and connection.
In Part II of this series, on Monday, February 8th, Kirk Woodring, co-author of Assessing the Risk: Suicide Behavior in the Hospital Environment of Care, will discuss the importance of speaking about suicide. We recommend the following Ted Talks for these upcoming events:
