Event description
A once in a lifetime chance to learn about animal assisted therapy and network!

About this Event

This conference is a culmination, sharing and celebration of the work related to the two-year federal research grant that Dr. Howard Bloom and Dr. Adam Stibbards have been working on in collaboration with Sweet Charity and the Simcoe County District School Board.

The keynote session, focusing on the human-animal bond for therapeutic purposes, will be delivered by Dr. Ardra Cole, founder of ElderDog Canada. Dr. Cole is a tenured university professor and prolific author with a background in applied educational psychology, teaching and learning, ethics and research, and adult education and community development.

The day will also include a choice of breakout sessions and opportunities to meet new people. Lunch and refreshments are included.

We would like to acknowledge the support of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Counsil of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Counsil of Canada.
