Theory & Hands-on Haircutting Class [ focus on creative cuts ]
Mon, April 24, 2017, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM MST
This class includes an intensive theory, demo and a hands-on portion. The goal of the class give attendees the confidence to actually "create" a haircut. No more having to memorize haircuts or having "wing" them. Instead, to be able to design and create a haircut tailored to suit a clients face shape, hair type, and style. We will do this by having a firm grasp on the fundamentals through theory using lots of visual aids with Shannel. The attendees will then be able to see the application of the fundamentals during Dana's haircut demonstration. During the hands-on portion of the class, attendees will be able to apply everything they've learned that day doing a haircut on a mannequin.
A questionnaire will be sent via email a few weeks before the class to get to know the attendees strengths and weaknesses so we could tailor the class to their needs.
The email will also include a tool list:
- Dollhead with medium length hair
- Scissors no longer than 6 inches
- Cutting comb
- Water bottle
- Blow dryer
- Flat iron
- Styling brush (ex. Denman, Vess, 407)
