Theological Reflection and Critical Dialogue on the Practice of Worship in the 21st Century

A Music Ministry Symposium

With Andover Newton Theological School (ANTS), the Black Church Music Ministry Project (BCMMP) is convening the symposium both as part of its commitment to serving, nurturing and developing spiritual leaders within music ministry and to aid as a catalyst for worship renewal in our local and area churches.

The confirmed keynote for the session is Rev. Dr. Ouida Harding. Following the keynote, Critical Dialogue sessions will be facilitated by Rev. James E. Dove, Dr. Dennis Slaughter and Sis. Patricia Dance.  Each session will challenge participants to examine, ponder and discuss current approaches to practice with the sole goal of initiating conversations that can be taken back to local and area congregations to aid in worship renewal throughout the Greater Boston area.

BCMMP is an ecumenical, intergenerational organization founded on Biblical principles for the purpose of serving, nurturing and developing spiritual leaders within music ministry through research, the publication of resources, and hosting leadership training via forums, workshops and conferences.
