Theodossi Spassov Folk Quintet was created in 2007 to present the beauty and cultural uniqueness of Bulgarian folklore around the world. The members of the band include the outstanding Bulgarian musicians - Peyo Peev (gadulka), Ivan Georgiev (gaida), Hristiyan Tsvyatkov (guitar), Genadi Rashkov (tupan). All of them perform on traditional Balkan folk instruments and have long-term connections to the internationally renowned Filip Koutev National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble and the women‟s choir The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices (Le mystère des voix bulgares). Concerts by this ensemble include both traditional and more contemporary, original and innovative renditions of Bulgarian folk music.
