Event Details

Rock and Roll Brooklyn Babies: 10 week class for children ages 2 years old and up. Great fun with movement and dancing. Children will hear  favorite rock and roll tunes while shaking it all around. 

Theatre 1: Perfect beginner class for the little star in your house. (4- 10 years old) This beginner class is designed to be a child's first  introduction to performing  arts. Students will participate in theater games, improvisation, and mime! These classes are also great for children with upcoming school interviews as a great way to learn confidence, self-esteem, and good listening skills.  

Theatre Company: (6-12 years old) 12 weeks of acting classes and a final performance. Everyone is a star on the stage at The Toy Museum! Acting classes focus on basic theatre skills such as: improvisation, fundamentals of storytelling, auditions,  movement and basic theatre language.  The imaginations and curiosity of each student is always encouraged. April 2 - June 25th

 

Classes meet  10 weeks.

The Toy Museum of NY

Established in 1999, by Marlene Hochman as The Doll and Toy Museum of NYC. Later the name was changed to The Toy Museum of NY in spring 2009 with the coveted distinction, by the New York State Department of Education, as the holder of the only New York Charter for a toy museum. The Museum is a certified 501 (c) 3 non-profit educational 'traveling museum' featuring touring exhibitions, live theatre shows and educational programs. The mission is to educate the public on the importance of dolls and toys in our culture, history and art. 

The Toy Museum hosts fun, interactive and theatrical performance all about toys, The performance emphasizes the importance of imagination and play, while integrating educational subjects: Language Arts, Social Studies, and Performing Arts.
