Description

A book club for writers, this monthly gathering focuses on the craft of writing. Read, discuss, meet other writers.

October's book is "On Writing" by Stephen King.

Held at the Always Wanted To Write studio inside the Delavan Center, the Writer's Craft Book Club features a new book each month. Coffee, tea and snacks are included.

Registration is on a month-by-month basis, so come to one or attend all.

The fall schedule is below:


Writing Down the Bones - Natalie Goldberg
September 14, 2017 6-8 pm

On Writing - Stephen King
October 26, 2017 6-8 pm

Bird By Bird - Anne Lamott
November 30, 6-8 pm

A list of questions to consider will be sent prior to the meeting.

Other Details:

  • Suitable for fiction and non-fiction writers and poets - anyone who wants to explore the craft of writing.
  • There's an 8-person cap for a more intimate experience.
  • The space is not handicapped accessible; a flight of stairs is required.

Ages 18 and older please. For younger writers, the Downtown Writers Center offers an excellent program: DWC Young Authors Academy
