Learn how to make *the* best brioche for babkas, brioche Suisse, tear-and-shares, tarte au sucre and braided chocolate chip brioches.

About this Event

Chef Bruno Breillet will go into detail with the techniques for a basic, soft and fluffy brioche, the foundation for so many baked treats. With the same brioche he will demonstrate and you yourself will make an indulgent chocolate babka (a New York City favorite), a classic Brioche Suisse, a lush tarte au sucre, a tear-and-share with vanilla creme patissiere and rum soaked raisins, and finally a traditional braided chocolate chip brioche loaf. He'll give you tips and ideas for other flavors as well. And, of course, you get to bring home everything you make!

Included in the price of the class is lunch consisting of regional cheeses and a locally sourced charcuterie platter with Bruno's sourdough bread. Dessert will be a local apple croustade. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day. Vegetarian option available upon request.

And if you like, for 70€ more, you can stay overnight at Lissac in one of 6 rustic rooms (shared bathrooms). Included in the price is dinner and an American breakfast in the morning.
