Description

SERIES 1 EPISODES 1 - 4

We think it’s time that women had a forum to say what they really think. A place to get answers from women they can trust and respect. Available globally, and for free. We have some amazing women already inspired by what we hope to achieve. All founders of their own businesses, some of major enterprise. But we want you to come and see it all for yourself!

Our show is driven by our audience - both online and in-studio, and they are the main driving force behind how the show evolves and grows. As a live audience member you'll get to be there with us for four episodes, listening and even discussing topics with our panelists, (you might even get your face on telly)! There will also be additional opportunities to network with other attendees and mix with our panelists and production crew over light food and drinks after filming. Hey - maybe even get yourself featured on the show as a guest or even a panelist in the future!

After we have finished filming for the day, stick around to chat to the panellists, CEO Matt Black & Crew over some wine and appetisers!

It is advisory to make sure you have an early lunch before arrival.

The itinerary for the day is as follows:

12:00pm - Episode 1 of 4: Equal Pay: Equal pay issues arise when men and women are paid differently despite doing the same work or work of equal value and with the deadline for companies to report on their pay gap data just passed, is it really as bad as we think or have we got our facts missed up?

12:45pm - Episode 2 of 4: Double-Bind: n a nutshell, it is this: If a woman behaves in a “feminine” way, she may be liked, but she may not be respected or seen as a leader. If she operates in a “masculine” way, however, she may be judged and disliked.

1:30pm - Refreshment Break

2:00pm - Episode 3 of 4: Flexible Working: Flexible work arrangements (FWAs) define how, where, and when employees’ work, allowing them to best manage their career and personal priorities. Flexible Working can be an issue for many women both financially and for career development. Does it help or hinder? Is it even just a 'women's issue'?

2:45pm - Episode 4 of 4:

EITHER:

Sponsorship: We know that women have a lot of mentors; but they also need sponsors who will give them visibility, talk about their accomplishments behind closed doors, and promote them for stretch opportunities. Not enough leaders are sponsoring highly qualified women by speaking up on their behalf. Are we enrolling and educating enough MEN on sponsoring?

OR

Race and Gender Bias: Working women of color face a unique set of challenges that relate to their race/ethnicity, gender, and culture. Because of this, many of them must deal with daunting roadblocks in their careers because of another person’s bias toward them. In some cases, colleagues and employers aren’t even aware that they hold a bias opinion or belief – an unconscious bias—even the best-intentioned people have them. So, if it’s unconscious what's the solution? How do people work out their bias?

3:15pm - WRAP

4:30pm - Networking with light food and drink

See you real soon!
