About this event
From the Celts to the Romans to the Catholic Church, the millennia long history of viticulture in Burgundy, France is a testament to the unique and prosperous grape growing region. For hundreds of years, Burgundy has been reputed as the producer of the best wines of the world. Kings and Popes have fought for the barrels and bottles produced on the marl soils of the region, and winemakers all around the world have planted Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to attempt to mimic that distinctive Burgundian style.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will break down what this historical hype is all about as we taste through six of our favorite Burgundian wines with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, at the Sovereign!
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with certified sommelier and Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley CSW
- Tasting of six fine red and white wines from Burgundy
- Small serving of artisanal cheese and bread to accompany your tasting
- Discounts on bottle purchases of all wines tasted
