Event description

Description

Join us on Friday, November 9th for the second annual Wharton Sports Business Summit, a collaboration between the Wharton Undergraduate Sports Business Club and the Wharton Sports Business Initiative. Founded last year, the inaugural Summit was headlined by speakers such as Don Smolenski and Aileen Dagrosa, President and Senior Vice President / General Counsel of the Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, as well as Josh Harris, Principal Owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils and Founder of Apollo Global Management.

This year, the Wharton Sports Business Summit strives to continue to grow, inform, and connect this community of current and future leaders in the sports industry. Through a series of keynote discussions, panels, workshops, research presentations, a career fair and more, it is to be a full day of learning and networking. With more than 30 speakers and nearly 20 companies engaged in recruiting efforts, attendees will be able to learn from and build their networks with a number of prominent figures from across the industry. Held in Huntsman Hall at the University of Pennsylvania, the Summit is also designed to bring students from Penn and other schools together with industry leaders from across the country. Dress code is business formal; lunch will be provided and the event will be capped off with a happy hour from 5pm - 6pm.

We are also expanding the research presentation component and will be accepting abstracts for presentations. If you have any interest in presenting your research on sports business, science, analytics, etc. don’t hesitate to submit an application! You can apply through this form https://lnkd.in/e2nzeRQ.
