Session 4: Sustainable Change

The Well-Worn Path: Mindfulness & Meditation For Positive Habit Change

We develop habits for a reason. They can protect us, they can make us feel good, they can help us fit in. Whether we label them as "good" habits or "bad" habits, when they no longer serve us, it can be difficult to break them. Fortunately, the growing science of neuroplasticity tells us that we can literally "train the brain" to adopt new habits and release old ones. Mindfulness and Meditation can be helpful in this journey.

No experience is necessary to benefit for one or all of these sessions offered during Fall 2018.

Session 1: Identifying Habit Patterns
Session 2: Accountability and Reminders
Session 3: Patience and Self-Compassion
Session 4: Sustainable Change

Examples of habits to be addressed include technology use, self-compassion & self-care, physical fitness, and procrastination.
