Beck Nison (she/they) is a writer, artist, ceremonial guide, teacher, clinical licensed hypnotist, and mentor living on the unceded land of the Lenape people. It’s Beck's calling to help people heal creatively, claim the sovereignty of their imaginations, and express their most authentic voices and visions. Beck's offerings and teachings approach creative writing, hypnosis, and art-making as tools of personal power and collective liberation. Her fiction, non-fiction, and poetry have been published in Catapult, The Kenyon Review, Pank, Bellevue Literary Review, and many other publications. She earned her MFA in Fiction at The New School, and she's been writer-in-residence at Byrdcliffe AiR, Lacawac Sanctuary, and Noepe Center for Literary Arts. She's a part-time associate professor at Parsons School of Design and she offers workshops that blend guided trance and creative practice at Minka Brooklyn.

Niki Franco is an abolitionist community organizer, writer, podcaster, multi-disciplinary artist, and facilitator of collective spaces. Seeking to disrupt the institutionalized bureaucratic frameworks of academia and transactional ways in which relationships exist under capitalism, her work experiments with truth-telling, radical history and thought, pleasure, joy, and revolutionary imagination. She is the host of "Getting to the Root of It with Venus Roots," a podcast that leans into conversations with artists, theorists, and organizers.

The Well is presented by O, Miami in collaboration with UM's Sylvester Cancer Center.
