Event description

Description

The U.S. Supreme Court handed down its eagerly awaited decision in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. on June 21, 2018. Since that point in time, many states have been analyzing the implications of the case and positioning existing statutes, or proposing new legislation, to capitalize on the elimination of the physical presence nexus standard.

Please join us for a presentation on the Wayfair case and its far-reaching impact on taxpayers across the U.S. on Wednesday, October 24th at the USF Downtown Campus. Snacks and beverages will be served starting at 6:00 p.m. in Room 156. BAYTL thanks the University of San Francisco School of Law for its continued, generous support.

Our speaker, Laura Deneke, J.D., LL.M., is an Indirect Tax Manager at Ernst & Young LLP, focusing on sales and use and gross receipt taxes. She received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington.

This activity has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of California in the amount of 1.0 credit hours. The University of San Francisco School of Law is an approved provider of MCLE and certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved educational activities prescribed by the rules and regulations of the State Bar of California governing minimum continuing legal education.
