The Cat Basket Presents:
*~Psychedelic Delights~*
with The Warning Shadows, Psychic Lemon & Thee Telepaths

~~~
Catch the amazing Warning Shadows, Cambridge classics Psychic Lemon and county neighbours Thee Telepaths all in one colourful night of psychedelic delights.
~~~

THE WARNING SHADOWS:

Imagine, if you can, all the bands that you ever loved getting together for a big gang-bang jamming orgy. Imagine a heavy, steady and insistent rhythm section, indomitable like a post-punk Velvet Underground, embellished with swirling Manzarekian keyboard flourishes and guitar wailing out for the fingers of Jimmy Page, all trembling pleasure under the nonchalant sneering of Iggy Stooge's gender-ambiguous Glaswegian step-sister.
Imagine, if you can, these dirty musical escapades, prescient and dark.
Imagine this is the future. Imagine this is the past. Imagine this now, playing at venue very near you very soon.
Imagine The Warning Shadows.

PSYCHIC LEMON:

“Space-rock power; relentless drums and slicing bass lines with unpredictable raw guitar” Cambridge Music Reviews, June 2017

Psychic Lemon begin their UK tour in Cambridge. Their first album was well received in the psych community, and they have just released a new track, Interstellar Fuzz Star (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLSy8x0YzP0), 10 minutes of space rock power.

THEE TELEPATHS:

Thee Telepaths are a psych-driven fuzz & beat four-piece from Kettering toting a blistery soundclash of the metallic proto-punk rock of The Stooges & The MC5, the ecstatic drone-fuzz of Spacemen 3 & Loop, the wonky electronics of The Silver Apples & Suicide, the mad science of Krautrock and the warped heavy psychedelia of Black Sabbath.

Since their first gig in May 2014 they’ve played up and down the towns and cities of the UK, and have released three EPs that have ventured out around the globe. They’ve appeared at a number of smaller festivals and on some very cool bills, sharing stages with Manchester krautrock collective Gnod, electronic post-rockers Kontakte, '80s indie legend The Jazz Butcher and UK psych-scene luminaries The Telescopes, One Unique Signal and The Underground Youth, among others. They're currently promoting their third EP 'Neon Spiral', available on vinyl from theetelepaths.bandcamp.com
