In Commemoration of “400 Years of African American History Commission Act.” 1619 -2019

About this Event

In 2018, Congress passed Public Law 115-102 (01/08/2018) “400 Years of African American History Commission Act.” In support of public education, the Louisiana Native Guard Association (LNGA) & Friends Of The Library (FOTL) , both community organizations with (501) (c) (3) not for profit status, are joining efforts in support the Tangipahoa Parish Library System in August 2019. The event is titled, “Voices of a Descending Culture – From Cotton Fields to Sunday Hymns.” In the State of Louisiana, Parish of Tangipahoa, and City of Hammond
