The Village Square – Taking place on May 17, 2013 in St. Francis Xavier School's Auditorium, in the heart of the City of Brotherly Love, the concert is the first in a series of Village Square shows. Starring indie singer/song-writer Kevin Heider & the nationally touring, "rousing & raucous" Celtic band Scythian, the night will be full of dancing, raised glasses, & friends new & old. All proceeds from beer and concessions to benefit St. Francis Xavier School Roof Fund. Ages 21+.

Rousing and raucous, Scythian (sith-ee-yin), plays kicked-up Celtic and world music with hints of Gypsy and Klezmer, all infused with a touch of punk-rock sensibility. Visit their YouTube channel here. “Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing, jumping around, or hoisting glasses.” --Washington Post
