Lucas Reilly (Director) is a theatre artist who has been in STL for 4 years. His laboratory work is focused on giving the audience a complete experience of poetic and heightened texts. Recent projects include Brecht’s translation of Antigone, Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, and an original work called Power which focused on the effect of pop music on young women.
Piece Description:
Claire Archer, an experimental botanist, strives to create a new species. Tom, Dick, and Harry (her soulmate, lover, and husband respectively) each hold her back from her work. She finds herself caught between societal expectations and the possibilities her work offers. Will she break through or be broken?
