Following its sold-out success of Red Hot Patriot, the next adult show on the stage of APEX Theatre 20 will raise funds for the Women’s Center of East Texas. Directed by Hannah Morris, The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler will have its first production in Tyler.
The play, which debuted in 1996 with the playwright reading all the roles, offers thoughts by women of various ages and backgrounds. It will be presented by East Texas actors on Friday, February 22, and Saturday, February 23, at 7:30 p.m. in APEX Theatre 20 at 719 West Front Street, Tyler, where the basement of the Energy Building has been converted into a 49-seat theater and teaching studio. Patrons should enter from the north side on Potter Place. The house will open at 6:30 p.m. with complimentary beverages offered.
The Vagina Monologues is not suitable for children.
