Description

The Vagina Dialogues*

*Not to be confused with “monologues”- because this is a conversation.

The Vagina Dialogues: International Women’s Day edition is an interactive cocktail night in celebration of women, and in support of women at one of Toronto’s trendiest venues, The Drake Hotel. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Toronto women’s drop-in centre, Sistering.

Ticket includes:

  • Women-power themed cocktails.
  • Mouth-watering appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts, created and served by the award-winning Drake Hotel catering team. Hint: these are definitely Insta-worthy.
  • A kick-ass swag bag, including items from natural brands like Province Apothecary, Sweet Spot Labs, Designs for Health, CanPrev, NFH and many more.
  • A chance to win some awesome prizes from Brass and Unity, I Love My Muff, Province Apothecary, Float TO, gift baskets galore, dinner for 2 at the Drake... and many more!
  • Networking with some of Toronto’s most inspiring women.

Feel informed and empowered while supporting women whose voices often go unheard- raising some serious $$ for Sistering.

Vagina 101 with Dr. Marnie Luck ND

Dr. Marnie Luck ND will discuss questions like:

“What’s happening with my hormones?”, “How do I maintain my fertility while avoiding pregnancy?", “Is this normal?" and "How do stress and ageing affect hormones and vaginal health?"

Women in 2018 Power and Progress

Open Dialogue with some of Toronto's most Inspiring Women

The panel will discuss women’s topics of today, like the media’s coverage of harassment, the women who weren’t able to voice their experiences, body image and comparison on social media, and redefining traditional male and female roles.

Viktoria Kalenteris - Self-Empowerment & Intimacy Coach

Viktoria's own experiences with trauma and healing lead to her diverse training in the fields of Tibetan tantra, sex therapy and various approaches to counselling. She empowers women to be mindfully aware and always within their boundaries of safety, consent and comfort levels with respect, honour and trust with themselves, first and foremost and then reciprocally with others.

Dr. Cheryl Rowe, MD

Cheryl Rowe has been practising psychiatry for over 30 years. Her interest in community psychiatry, feminism, women's mental health and social justice is apparent in her approach to patient care, having worked with women at Sistering for the past 10 years.
