Description

THE UNBLOCKED WORKSHOP BY THE BACKWATERS PRESS
SATURDAY, FEB 3 11AM TO 1PM
GALLERY 1516

SUBJECT: "Write Where You Live: At the Intersection of Place, Memory, and History" with Theodore Wheeler

Participants will use personal anecdotes, remembrances of local history, and online sources to write fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry about the neighborhood where they grew up, currently reside, or a different place of interest. Through guided exercises and use of online databases of photographs, we'll refocus specific acts of remembering into creative work.

This workshop is free, but please secure your ticket by January 27th. Note: spots are limited.

Get your FREE ticket here on Eventbrite.

Q: How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
A: Absolutely! Email your questions or concerns to: workshop@thebackwaterspress.com

Q: Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
A: No, but it will be helpful for us to track attendees and plan future events.

Q: Can I update my registration information?
A: Of course!

Q: Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
