- Corbin Duncan, Accepted: Harvard
My name is Corbin and I'm from Brisbane. I am orignally from Mackay in North Queensland but moved to begin my high school studies at St Joseph's Nudgee College where I was Vice Captain. I have interests in politics, economics and a passion for social justice. I'll be looking to major in economics. - Tristan Seiderman, Accepted: UPenn, Imperial College London, UCL
Hi everyone! I’m Tristan and I’m a 3rd year at the University of Pennsylvania currently studying abroad at the University of Melbourne. I’m majoring in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) despite having initially applied for engineering subjects in my UCAS application. I grew up in Switzerland and attended the International School of Geneva which is where I completed the IB program. I also studied music theory and cello at the Geneva Music Conservatory and am now a proud member of the Penn Symphony Orchestra. Aside from these more serious and academic pursuits, I’m pretty adventurous – I really enjoy travelling and interacting with people in new settings. Last summer, I had the chance to teach in high schools in Japan whilst living with host families. Although teaching was very fulfilling, I’m still very unsure about my future career path. All I know is that I want to pursue something that reconciles business with social and environmental responsibility. See you at the event!
Rizina Yadav, Accepted: Stanford, Yale, Princeton, and Oxford (Law) - Hi, I'm Rizina! I recently graduated from Merewether High School in Newcastle. I love reading and writing, currently in the midst of Sarah Bakewell's The Existentialist Café and writing an article about the relationship between Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and the populist renaissance, and going on spontaneous adventures with friends. My interest in philosophy and tendency to introduce philosophical questions in social situations has resulted in lots of exclamations of Not again, Rizina! from my friends. After university, I hope to work in some way to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of social and political systems of organisation.
- Kartik Khanna, Accepted: Wharton, UPenn
My name is Kartik Khanna, and I from Perth, Western Australia. Born in Switzerland, but originally from India, I grew up in Perth’s western suburbs, attending Scotch College, an all-boys private school. Since I was a child, my favourite sports have been cricket and soccer, and I also like to travel and listen to all types of music. I’m looking forward to heading over to Wharton in September, where I hope to major in Finance and Business Economics
More speakers will be announced weekly, and a big announcement of speakers in early April!!
