Master Class – Building Sustainable Leadership

The Context

It is crucial for startups co-founders to manage teams. Actually, it is during the period of team formation that startups most fail.

Did you ever stop to wonder how do you create an environment where you have your employees engaged? On how to guide them and unify your team towards one goal? Have you considered the external variables?

That is why “Sustainable Leadership” is crucial, we need leaders who are fully aware of this rising Macro Trend and well equipped with key Leadership practices to face it.

Learning Objective

  • Ø Raise Awareness of Social Responsibility and the role of Corporations

  • Ø Identify and Understand the key Leadership Practices in this “New World”

Two and Half Hours

The Scope

A very Interactive Session exploring that the world has moved on, CSR is no longer Philanthropy or even Risk Management, is about Shared Value Creation. We will be discussing that CSR reaches far beyond Environment concerns. Why did we come this far? Why is it important to integrate CSR in Corporate Strategies? Is there a clear Business Case for Action? What and How to Measure and Communicate? What could be in it for your Company?

Cases: Unilever/Nestle/Coca-Cola/Apple/Walmart will be mentioned.

With these challenges in mind

What are we missing for Companies to really drive this strategically? Sustainable Leadership! Which leads to the Practices. More than ever, we need:

I - Values: Why is it important to clarify and declare my Values? What do I really stand for? How can I define a process to discuss our Values as a Team?

II - Vision: What defines an inspiring Vision? How can I engage in a process to build a Vision together with my Team?

III - Process Challenge: Why is it important to continuously challenge myself? What do I need to do for that to happen? How can I create a solid process to stay on top of “what is happening”? The importance of Risk Taking and Small Wins

IV - Trust & Heart: What makes a trusting individual? How to build a Trustful environment? Which are the actions that generate powerful or powerless team members? How important is to recognise and reward individual and team performance? What is a meaningful Recognition? How can I create an environment where regular Celebration happens?

In the end, participants are expected to agree that the great leaders of tomorrow are those who will be, today, devoting their “souls and minds” to this unstoppable Macro Trend called Corporate Social Responsibility. “Sustainable Leadership” will be the great competence of future leaders.
