PLAY SUMMARY: Good news! George and Avery’s annual “Ugliest Christmas Tree” contest has a winner - the white, hideously faux-pine eyesore across the road!

The bad news? By February 14th, the tree is still standing.

Something’s not right: George is determined to get to the root of it. Avery is more concerned with the conservation of their own lives. It’s already difficult to see the forest for the trees: it’s much harder when Halloween rolls around and the neighbour’s festive foliage is still up.

As the year creeps past, priorities shift, and the question remains: what will be left of them when the tree finally comes down?
