A.C.T. UNITED'S 3rd ANNUAL COMMUNITY ED CONFERENCE

Free community education for high school students, parents, and professionals.

Understand the truth about sexting and its connection to sextortion, child pornography and juvenile cyber sex trafficking. The emotional-behavioral effects of juvenile sexual exploitation is being reported by educators and law enforcement as the #1 rising issue with students as young as middle school. Minnesota’s recent largest child pornography case began by soliciting photos from 171 unsuspecting high school boys on social media. Learn how this happens, answer the question: is it happening here?, how to recognize and help someone being exploited, and an introduction to local prevention, outreach, and support programs and resources.

HEAR FROM LOCAL LEADERS IN CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION AND PREVENTION:

Ron Hocevar, Scott County Attorney's Office, Scott County Attorney: "Sexting: All the Kids are Doing It"

Officer Dale Hanson, Minneapolis Police Crime Lab, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, FBI Child Exploitation Task Force: "MN Child Pornography: A Local Case Review"

Jessica Bartholomew, A.C.T. United, Carver County, Founder and Lead Training Facilitator , Police Officer, Minneapolis PD, Retired: "Communities United in Prevention: small steps, HUGE Impact!"
