January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and The Still Point Theatre Collective which has been working at the intersection of arts and social justice for three decades will be putting on its inspiring and eductional event, The True Cost.

Transcribed from interviews with real survivors by Chicago playwright Jenny Magnus, The True Cost is a compelling portrayal of the many ways modern slavery is alive and well right under our noses--regardless of where we live. Professional actors perform the testimony of real people, and then a panel discussion with service workers, survivors, and experts helps the audience ground the issue locally and find out what they can do.
