Event Details

This Accelerate Your Business presentation is designed for entrepreneurs starting their own businesses, large or small.  The presentation will consider why and when you should create an entity for your business as well as choosing the form of entity (for example, an LLC or Corporation).  We are fortunate to have two ace corporate attorneys guide this teach in.  Paul Hughes and Evan Kipperman both from the law firm Wiggin and Dana, LLP will share their experiences working with entrepreneurs from around the CT ecosystem.  They will discuss many aspects of starting an entity, including how to think about dividing ownership and other decision- making challenges faced by founders of a multiple owner business.

After the program there will be opportunities to have conversations with the speakers as well as to enjoy networking. IF YOU WISH TO SET UP A15 MINUTE ONE-ON-ONE MEETING WITH ONE OF THE SPEAKERS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, PLEASE SIGN-UP AT

“Accelerate Your Business” is a new series at CURE Innovation Commons to offer business know-how to individuals interested in learning how to start-up or to grow an enterprise.  These educational forums are a part of the new program “Ignite” established under a grant from CTNext and sponsored by the TRIP collaborative.

Ignite is a partnership between the Commons and Spark Makerspace designed to spur new ideas, businesses, and innovative growth in the Thames River region by producing events, sponsoring education, and connecting entrepreneurs into the business development support system.
