Description

The Top Five of New York City Voiceover with Hugh P. Klitzke

On July 1, 1941 the first television commercial "America Runs On Bulova Time" was broadcast on NBC owned WNBT in New York City. It was only ten seconds long and yes, it had a voiceover.

Today, the voiceover marketplace has broadened and diversified into thousands of daily opportunities covering about fifteen different categories - but there are only five distinct types of voiceover that make up about 75% of the New York City market. Any New York Actor looking to pursue voiceover needs to understand this market.

In this lecture and Q&A voice casting director Hugh P. Klitzke will talk about these five types of voiceover, discuss their differences and similarities, play audio of each, provide script examples, talk about diversity in casting and even talk about the money.
