Description

You're invited to dance the night away to the sounds of National Classic Big Band Jazz Recording and Performing Orchestra, The Tommy Wade Orchestra at the 2016 Jazz Brew Concert fundraiser at The Walter Armes Learning Center at Whitehall-Yearling High School.  This is a special Concert and Dance event.

The Tommy Wade Orchestra is a 22-piece big band orchestra consisting of some of the best jazz players in the city performing some of your favorite big band and swing compositions from: Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, along with most of the old dance bands.

It’s happening at 8:00 pm, Saturday, October 1st at Whitehall-Yearling High School, located at 675 S. Yearling Road, Whitehall (Columbus). Doors open at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Tom Wade is the trumpet section leader. Tom has played in many different jazz bands over the years including Johnny Mack’s Concert Jazz Orchestra of Dayton, The Bruno Masdea Big Band, and Rick Brunetto’s Big Band. Tom plays on a Benge 3X Plus trumpet and a Benge 5X flugelhorn.
